welcome to summertime Istria, which once again greets you with sunny weather, clean beaches and excellent Adriatic sea. In order to have your vacation free of care, we hereby inform you that due to a long period of hot and dry weather Istria has recently introduced simple measures of water saving.

Those are some basic regulations for a rational use of water – water supply has been limited for showers on Istrian beaches, washing cars and private yards is temporarily forbidden, as is the watering of gardens.

These measures were introduced by the Istrian County at the end of July, to ensure regular, uninterrupted water supply for all the guests and residents of Istria during August.

The regulations will not affect the quality of travelling and staying in Istria, since the fresh water supply of hotels, campsites, private houses and apartments is not in danger.

We believe that you will obey these simple, temporary rules and support our efforts to use water rationally, in accordance with our commitment to sustainable tourism, energy preservation and clean environment.
