DESCRIPTION:The summer season and fun still lasting – come to Funtana for the unique Fešta od grmali – “Grmali” crab fest! \nAlthough it is already September and autumn is slowly approaching\, in Funtana the fun continues. We invite all lovers of seafood delicacies and great entertainment to join us at the fantastic\, already ninth in a row\, Fešta od grmali – “Grmali” crab fest\, taking place on September 16th in the wonderful tent ambiance on our beautiful waterfront. The organizers of the festival are the Tourist Board of Funtana and the Municipality of Funtana. \nThis special event will allow you to enjoy the juiciest and most delicious grmali\, to which our chefs will give a new dimension of taste. These crabs will enchant you with their texture and richness of flavour. For those who do not know\, grmal is a type of sea crab\, also known as gramalj\, grancipor or žbirac\, recognised for its exceptional aroma and is one of the tastiest crabs of the Adriatic Sea. \nSix teams will readily compete in the art of preparing brodet stew made of grmali. Each team brings its own secret recipes and unique approaches\, and you will have the opportunity to taste their creations. The announcement of the winner in the competition for the best grmali brodet is scheduled for 2 PM\, when we will find out which team will win the title of the best grmali chef. \nWhile the competition lasts\, visitors will be able to feast on a rich selection of various fish dishes outside the tent\, while the Women’s Association for a Healthier Life “Loza” will take care of the sweets\, offering various cakes at its stand. We will also host other numerous interesting events\, such as the presentation of Istrian autochthonous agricultural products organized by the Istrian Web Market Association. \nBesides the excellent food that awaits you\, there is also a rich music program that will add spice to our festival. We will see performances by Baredinesaurusi band\, Žurnada band\, very popular Mejaši and Etaloni band. The music program starts at noon and will last throughout the whole day\, giving you the opportunity to dance and enjoy your favourite tunes. \nJoin us on Saturday\, September 16th\, be a part of this unforgettable festivity and enjoy top flavours\, music and entertaining.
